Social Innovation Design Lab 

I'm extremely interested in problem solving and the various methods that exist in entrepreneurship and innovation. This was a crash course in Design Thinking. 

According to Tim Brown, President and CEO of Ideo, design thinking "matches people’s needs with what is technologically feasible and viable as a business strategy". Design thinking starts with a variety of possible problem definitions and solutions, in order to begin defining enough of the parameters to discover an optimized path to the goal.

Our class was focused on education in Central Valley, CA and made multiple weekend research trips in which we stayed with a local family and were able to learn about their daily lives, aspirations, and obstacles. That trip inspired my team's idea that took the concept and practical use of a soccer ball and added a mathematical and puzzle solving element.
